Out of curiosity, as a not-particularly-accomplished competitor, how much do your “sponsors” pay you to represent them?

You are an epic douche, you pyramid scheme-running retard…

      Mr Reality,

Thanks for your comment. It is true I am not a world champion grappler. One of my better accomplishments was placing 3rd in the BJJ World Championships at Brown Belt and 3rd in the ADCC Trials Pro Division.

I don’t have anything to hide or even prove as I am giving tips on things that may not have given me a lot of monetary kickback but instead a lot of kickback in regards to grappling related material. For example:

      - I have not paid for a gi in almost 5 years. I’ve received 20+ gi’s for free.
      - I have not paid for grappling shorts in over 3 years. About 11+ shorts for free.
      - I received over 50 dvd’s from different sources
      - I’ve received equipment for my gym for free
      - I’ve received thousands of dollars in grappling mats for my school and my home.
      - I’ve received books etc…

All from doing things that can help my sponsors that didn’t require me to do a ton of things, spend money, or spend a lot of time. I just supported those who supported me. Are the ideas outrageous? Nope they are not. But for some reason a lot of people don’t think of it in the ways I mentioned.

My sponsors actually don’t ask me for anything. I do it at my own free will to let them know I consistently support them.

It may not be cash payment but for people who don’t have the things I listed or don’t have a lot of money, they would take something they don’t have that they can use. Do I guarantee I can get you sponsorships? No I don’t.

Can you get yourself sponsorships? Yes you can.

I think my definition of a “pyramid scheme” may be off a bit or outdated because I didn’t think giving someone a chance to compete for free while only asking for facebook friends was an evil thing lol.

I do thank you for your comment though as I appreciate all comments both positive and negative.

      Be well,
      Jason

    I agree with pitbullS.

That was a really Alpha male thing the calm cool way you reacted, not getting getto over a pretty out-of-left-field comment. Kinda like when Tom Cruise shut that guy down:

Thanks so much for posting this video of yours.
It gives me a bunch of hope and motivation to help me help my brother get his bases covered training material-wise.

Enjoy the video – Take care man!

That was a great response to the post that reality did. I commend you on your professionalism. I attend Relson Gracie Galveston BJJ and Randy Hauer MMA at the Combat Sports Institute here in Galveston, Texas. We are looking for sponsors for our new fight team that we have both a BJJ Team and a MMA team. We are looking for sponsors from gym mats, GI’s, fight gear, training gear, you name it we need it. We will be more than happy to sell all products from our gym for the sponsors and post on the gym website and Facebook and Twitter. Hopefully you can guide us and help us get to where we are heading.

I am far from a world champion or even high rankings because I can’t compete because money is tight in my family and I’m lucky enough to have professors that let me train at all
